John o’ London’s

George Newnes Ltd., publishers of the Strand magazine and the schoolboy magazine The Captain, initiated a weekly literary magazine in 1919 edited by Wilfred Whitten, whose pen name of John o’ London was familiar to readers as a literary critic and essayist and a travel writer.
